Inauguration “TAX CLINIC” ORGANIZED BY CHARTERED ACCOUNTANTS AT ICAI BHAVAN BELAGAVI DURING 13TH

Today 13th July, Belagavi – The Belagavi Branch of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) Southern Regional Council, has inaugurated the TAX CLINIC wherein the Commissioner of Income Tax Appeals Shri. B. Y. Chavan and Joint Commissioner of Income Tax Sri. Rajgopal Parthasarathy have inaugurated the TAX CLINIC which is a Tax Awareness Program for 2 days i.e. on13th and 14th July held at ICAI Bhavan Swaroop Plaza, Belagavi. The purpose of this Tax Clinic is to Spread Awareness about Tax, Promoting Tax Compliances and Assisting Common taxpayer for resolving queries related to e-filling of ITR which is due on 31st July 2023.

 

The CIT Appeals B. Y. Chavan embraced the benefits of filing Tax Returns in time, and also appealed the general public to voluntarily file their Tax Returns which helps increase tax base and thereby lessening the burden on tax payers. If more number of people pay file returns and pay taxes, the there is high likelihood of lesser tax rates.  The Income Tax Dept. has gone faceless and the need of adopting technology in day today is inevitable to the professionals and tax payers. The email id of the assessee are important for connect between Income Tax Dept and general public.  With the introduction of faceless asessesments the tax payers trust with Department is increased and tax defaulters do not have any escape with the development technology and Artificial Intelligence. JCIT Shri. Rajgopal sir applauded the role of Chartered Accountants in Tax Compliances and said that the CAs are true partners in nation building. The Chairman of Belagavi Branch of ICAI has welcomed the gathering and CA Veeranna Murgod expressed vote of thanks. The senior CAs U. G. Bolmal, Satish Mehta, R.S. Mundada, Nitin Nimbalkar, Sanjeev Deshpande, Jaykumar Patil amongst others were present. Shri. Swapnil Shah, Honourary Secretary of Belgaum Chamber of Commerce, Sri.
